Yet history reminds us that sustainable ministry flows from healthy leaders. Healthy leaders cultivate healthy churches. Healthy churches disciple believers, care for their communities, and mobilize people to fulfill the Great Commission.

This gathering, the first regional gathering toward the Finishing the Task 2033 goals will include Healthy Church training for church leaders from seasoned pastors who will share how to mobilize congregations toward the Great Commission. This gathering will be the third landmark gathering of over twenty-five esteemed ministry leaders from prominent global networks convening to collaborate, strategize, and exchange invaluable insights dedicated to advancing the mission of fulfilling the Great Commission by 2033.

Finishing the Task is excited to announce that the FTT Healthy Church Seminar is coming to São Paulo, Brazil on February 2–3, 2026—featuring Pastor Rick Warren alongside leading Brazilian pastors who are passionately committed to mobilizing the Church for mission.

When Jesus was twelve years old, he said something that has guided my entire ministry. He said, “Don’t you know I must be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49).

If we’re serious about the goal of the gospel for everyone by 2033, then we have to start here: we must develop God’s heart for the world.

When you’re working toward something as big as the fulfillment of the Great Commission, delays can feel frustrating. You see the urgency. You see the need. The clock is ticking. And sometimes it feels like progress is slower than it should be.

The Healthy Pastor Initiative is investing in the inner life of the leaders carrying that mission. Over the last few weeks, God has opened several meaningful spaces for pastors to slow down, tell the truth, and receive grace together.

One year ago, church leaders across The Gambia gathered for a historic moment—the first-ever DREAM Healthy Church Conference in the nation. More than 1,200 pastors and leaders filled the venue to capacity, united around a shared vision: building healthy churches that mobilize every believer to fulfill the Great Commission.

As church leaders seeking to faithfully live out the Great Commission—and to pass that commitment on to our members—access to practical, trusted training can make a real difference. One resource we’re glad to share is the Healthy Church Master Course, a foundational training designed to help pastors and church leaders equip their congregations to live on mission.

The Healthy Pastor Course is a self-paced learning experience designed to support the spiritual and vocational health of pastors and ministry leaders. Rather than focusing primarily on strategy or organizational development, the course centers on the inner life of leadership — recognizing that who a leader is often shapes the culture and effectiveness of the ministry they serve.

In recent years, the stories of pastoral moral failure have become far too common. We have also witnessed an increasing number of pastors experiencing ministry burnout. Perhaps, now more than ever, pastors are ministering in isolation and loneliness. Many pastors continue to serve with hidden sins and hidden wounds. They are anxious, discouraged, and exhausted. It doesn’t have to be this way.

This past weekend, the Pastoral Alliance of Tijuana in partnership with Finishing the Task and the Healthy Church Teaching Network hosted a remarkable event that saw over 250 pastors come together for an inspiring and impactful training.

Pastor Rick and an amazing team of pastors from across Latin America recently joined the G12 Conference 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia to share the vision of Finishing the Task and help train church leaders in Healthy Church principles.

Pastor Rick Warren and leaders from churches across Latin America came together at TRANSFORMACION 24 at Agua Viva Church in Lima, Peru last month to share the Finishing the Task vision with approximately 16,000 church members and leaders gathered from across the region.

In working towards the goal of fulfilling the Great Commission, it’s crucial to prioritize health—both personal and organizational—within the church.

Leaders from some of the largest and most-influential churches from across the Portuguese-speaking world were invited to Southern California this month to learn about the vision of Finishing the Task and to be trained in Healthy Church principles for mobilizing their members out into the world for the Great Commission.

Most Christians have never been equipped to share the Good News. Witnessing often feels intimidating, and many churches lack plans or programs for evangelism. Tragically, sharing God’s love – the very purpose for which we are here – often receives the least attention.

Over 1,000 pastors and church leaders in The Gambia in West Africa will gather on February 1st to learn time-tested principles on church health from seasoned church leaders at the DREAM Church Conference.
